She is 20lbs 9ozs and 30 1/4" tall. My little Skinny Minnie.
She is eating mostly table food now but I still give her some baby food if I feel she hasn't eaten enough. She eats like a bird, but the doctor says she is fine. The doctor also says that she is "walking" since she is taking 7+ steps on her own now, but her main form of transportation is still crawling. I think it will be a couple more weeks before she is really walking.
Her verbal skills are great. She says Mama, Dada, dog, door, agua, and cat sometimes. She's working on sock
The scratch next to her eye is from her first daycare injury. She got scratched by another kid on accident.
We attended our first family Halloween party the Saturday before the 31st.
I couldn't think of any great ideas for costumes so we recycled our The Ropers costumes from 2008. Little girl was the cutest little fairy. Of course, after about 15 minutes on the move at the party she looked like a homeless fairy with food and scuffs all over her outfit.
On Monday, my work hosted a trick-or-treat party for Halloween. Since I had two costumes, Isla went as a chicken that day. She did so good! We taught her to take one piece of candy, put it in her bucket, and then I said Thank You for her. The holidays really are so much fun with a kid.
At daycare they also took them trick-or-treating for a little bit on Halloween at 10:30 a.m. So cute.
Isla took about 5 full steps on her own this evening!

Isla took her first couple of steps on Sunday!

When Isla sees a dog she says "dug" and this morning when I brought her to daycare she clearly starting yelling "cat!" Jeanette says they see the neighbor's cat sometimes.

Little girl had her 7-month doctor's appointment today. She is 15.7lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. I'm a little concerned that she only gained .2lbs since last month, but Dr. Reiner said not to worry about it. She has been sick a good portion of the month so she hasn't been eating like she usually does. Plus, after 6 months their growth starts slowing down -- she only grew 1/2 inch.
Other than that she is doing great! Dr. Reiner says she is right on track for development. As you can see from the picture she had a great time wrecking the paper sheet.
